چکیده

Brachial artery Bilateral trifurcation Radial recurrent artery The variations in the arterial pattern specially in the extremities are common. The trifurcation of brachial artery into radial, ulnar and either common interosseous or median artery are found commonly, but radial recurrent artery as a third branch is very rarely reported. Here we are reporting a rare case of bilateral trifurcation of brachial artery into radial, ulnar and radial recurrent artery in an adult female cadaver found during routing dissection in the department of anatomy. a* Associate professor, Department of Anatomy a Department of anatomy, prathima institute of medical sciences, nagunur , karimnagar, A.P, INDIA.

Paper: A Case Report of a Rare Variation in Arising Branches of Brachial Artery

Variations in the arterial pattern of the upper limb are abundant and diverse and have been observed frequently either in cadaver dissection or in clinical practice and reports. In the most of these reports, radial or ulnar arteries were commonly involved, which can be damaged during surgical procedures. This report presents a case of a rare variation in arising branches of brachial artery. Dur...

Case Report: A Case Report on Variation in Bifurcation of Brachial Artery

Variations in arterial anatomy are less frequent, contrary to the venous system, and most of these variations affect visceral arteries. Variations in the brachial artery are the most frequently reported and so far a minimum of six different patterns have been described. The most common of these patterns is the superficial brachial artery, which lies superficially to the medi...

Critical Upper Limb Ischemia Due to Brachial Tourniquet in Misdiagnosed Thoracic Outlet Syndrome after Carpal Tunnel Decompression: A Case Report

We present the case of a 68-year-old woman, referred to our department for critical upper limb ischemia, which had occurred a few days after homolateral surgical ligamentotomy for carpal tunnel syndrome, diagnosed and confirmed by electromyography, and performed with a brachial tourniquet. The patient was later admitted for subsequent progressive necrosis of the first three fingers of the left ...

Case Report A rare case report of bilateral brachial fibromuscular dysplasia and literature review

We present a 46-year-old woman with bilateral brachial arterial fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) causing a systolic murmur in the antecubital fossa of the bilateral brachial. The diagnosis relied on angiography, by which “string-of-beads” sign in bilateral brachial arteries was found. The literatures on bilateral brachial arterial fibromuscular dysplasia were reviewed.

Bilateral superficial brachial artery – a case report

Variations in the arterial pattern of upper limb are common and have been reported by several investigators [1–3]. The great variability of this arterial pattern may be attributed to the failure of regression of some paths of embryonic arterial trunks [2, 3]. The presence of superficial brachial artery and the usual pattern of its branching in the upper arm or forearm have also been reported wi...
